The Weatherford Toastmasters club celebrated its 25th anniversary on January 31st. There
was a good turnout of visitors and club members, who met at 6pm for a social
gathering with food and drinks, and the meeting at 7:00pm. The theme of the evening was "Toastmaster
Membership." Harry Clay and John Payne,
two of the original members who started the club 25 years ago, attended and
spoke about how the club got its start in Weatherford.

Other members in the club spoke about how
Toastmasters has changed their lives by building confidence, improving speaking
and writing skills, and improving leadership skills in their lives and their
workplace. Member Michael Kinser spoke
about the Toastmasters organization outside of the local club.
The next exciting event of the Weatherford Toastmasters club
will be the “Tall Tales” contest that will be held on February 21. The meeting will be fun and the stories will
be interesting. All are welcome, guests
