Spring Training with Skymasters

Skymasters Club #593906 recently had an Open House! With an eye on baseball season, we themed our Open House "Spring Training" and invited guests to come train with Skymasters!

Almost all of our membership was in attendance and we had 2 guests, one of whom joined Skymasters (!) and is a former Toastmaster returning to her journey after a hiatus from her former club.

We had two speakers: Maria Lopez, a recently joined member, gave her Icebreaker titled "Profile: Maria" while Robert Ervin, a more advanced speaker,  motivated us with his Inspire Your Audience speech titled "Stop Getting Motivated; Start Maintaining Motivation." 

Our members put out a wonderful spread of goodies including a homemade salsa one of our members tantalized our taste buds with in one of her speeches at a previous meeting.

All in all, we had a very wonderful open house and we look forward to holding another in the future!  Check out more photos from our Open House on our Facebook page.

Southwest Branch Library

Our Club Contest was on February 15th! We had some fabulous Tall Tales and International Speeches. We are in it to win it and advance our speakers all the way to the last round!

We meet every other Saturday. Feel free to join us at our next meeting March 8th at 10:30am at the Southwest Branch Library, 3311 SW Green Oaks, Arlington.
